Thai woman sentenced to death after being found guilty of trafficking cocainè in her private parts and anus

30- year-old Chonmanee Laphathanawat from Thai province of Rayong was yesterday August 27th sentenced to death by a High Court after finding her guilty of trafficking in 689.10gm of cocaine in 70 capsules hidden in her anus and her private parts. 
Laphathanawat, who was detained at the Penang International Airport in Bayan Lepas in February 2013, looked calm but dejected when Judicial Commissioner Nordin Hassan pronounced the verdict. She was charged with committing the offence from about 12.50am on Feb 13 to Feb 16, 2013 at the Penang General Hospital.
Her court-assigned defence counsel, K Thangeswaran told the court she was unaware the capsules contained cocaine, thinking they contained gems. She said she was forced by some people to swallow the capsules in Brazil with other capsules forcibly inserted into her private parts. It was argued that she had not felt well and was asleep throughout her journey from Brazil to Malaysia via Barcelona, Spain and Singapore.
Chonmanee said she sought help from Penang airport police when she could no longer bear the pain in her abdomen. Deputy public prosecutor Amir Hamdzah Othman said Chonmanee failed to produce any witnesses or evidence to substantiate her claims. Mr Nordin said the defence had failed to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt. He said Chonmanee failed to inform authorities in Barcelona or Singapore before her flight to Penang about her plight.
“She could also have checked the contents of the capsules in her private parts. Her ‘wilful blindness’ did not help her defence. I am satisfied that the prosecution has proven a prima facie case against her.”

A 20-year-old man has left many people in great shock after he chopped off his own manhood with a machete and threw it in the toilet.
He is nursing serious injuries at Busia Referral Hospital in Kenya after the incident.
According to a report by eDaily, Jafar Rashid claims life’s frustrations drove him to commit the drastic act, adding that his addiction to drugs mostly bhang (cannibis) also contributed to his woes.
Speaking on how the incident happened, his mother, Roselyn Fazira, said he asked for a knife saying he wanted to use it to cut some mangoes. Shortly after he got the knife, he emerged from his room bleeding, only for the mother to realize he had cut off his manhood.
The incident attracted a large crowd who came to witness the drama. Explaining why the man cut off his p*nis, Rashid’s aunt, Maurine Juma, said Rashid frustrations stemmed from a sodomy incident that took place at Nambale Police Station some time back.
It is believed he was sodomized by another man which has left him depressed over time.

A 10-year-old girl has been found out to have had s*x with a 12-year-old boy, a thing which caused quite a stir in their community.
The incident reportedly took place in a house in Cosmo City, Joburg, South Africa, on Thursday.
It was revealed that both children admitted to having s*x.
Now, the girl’s mother is demanding two cows from the family of the 12-year-old boy.
According to Daily Sun SA, the girl’s mum said her daughter’s future was destroyed and the boy must pay for the damage he caused.
“Both our families have agreed to resolve the problem together,” said the girl’s mum. “There must be damages paid or they must guarantee that this boy will marry my daughter in the future.”
However, the boy’s family has said they can’t give two cows.
A member of the family said: “We don’t have two cows. They are just kids and didn’t know what they were doing.”
According to a community member, the children have known each other since they were babies.
“They attend the same school and grew up together. Children like to explore,” said the resident.
Cultural expert Refilwe Wa Ga Khunou said the girl’s family must check what the boy’s family can afford before making demands.
